Doing coursework again; needing strokes, kicks up the bum, support and general sounds of encouragement and approval

I have to do it this week-end - DD is away & after GOSH we have to do DLA forms (an essay in their own right)

I have to get 40% on the next 3 to pass

I am struggling and have considered giving up (which may still be an option)

So please be supportive/kick me up the bum

I am starting planning now

Rather sadly I have printed out:
The question (7 pages)
The guidance (8 pages)
The marks from my last one (6 pages)

& done now work

But I have a better idea how the last one went wrong - no idea how to start this one tho'

Oh & I emailed my tutor to say it might be late.....hopeful aren't I?

Now I have to come up with problems facing a community make a sign diagram and discover 5 areas of intervention

& that is only part 1

I have to be honest I am feeling a little neglected here

I know no-one gives a damn about my coursework except me (& possibly the tutor)......but a word or 2 of encouragement wouldn't go amiss esp as I am struggling

Can't give any help with the content (what are you doing?) but am v sympathetic (OU survivor myself), and will make encouraging noises at regular intervals. I'm supposed to be blitzing the house as I am alone today, so if you could give me a shove when you see me you'd be doing me a favour too

T214 Understanding systems: making sense of complexity is the course title

TMA4 is where I am at

Content is a nightmare

Umm should you be hoovering or something?

(many thanks)

Hmm. Need to excavate the floor first .

It'll be fine. Does the guidance make sense? It was always pretty good for my courses, but I think they were rather more straightforward.

Keep at it!

Everything is in hand katy. You have the appointment coming up soon. There is nothing you can do about the other stuff today. In fact, the best thing you can do is get the TMA done and out of the way, so that next week you can give your attention back to your daughter's care, without having anything else to distract you. Don't go for an extension. Get it done today. I always tried to just get them done in one go. Immerse myself in them completely and then get back to "real" life. Full immersion is the way to go.

Go do it!

Katymac · 05/06/2010 11:34

& that excavation you mentioned???

OK I will try

Getting there......very slowly

Excellent.

Overcoming the inertia at the start is always the tough bit.

Katymac · 05/06/2010 15:24

I have about half of part one, & I'm going to start part 2 after lunch (steak baguette - yum)

How is the cleaning going?

Good for you! Keep going. Get some words on the page.

To put one brick upon another
Add a third, and then a fourth
Leaves no time to wonder whether
What you do has any worth.

But to sit with bricks around you
While the winds of heaven bawl
Wondering what you should or can do
Leaves no doubt of it at all.
