How do I stop this?

DS has always been a hitter, had a horrendous year of it with him then starting nursery in October seemed to be the making of him and it all stopped. Dont get me wrong we have the odd day where he hits or pushes but its usually within rough play.

This last month he seems to have really regressed with it and I am sick and tired of picking him up from nursery to have to sign an incident report. He is 3.2 so still pretty young but he does know its bad to hit or push or kick. When I ask why he does it he says "i like to hit". He shows no remorse but its getting to the point where I am concerned he is going to get kicked out of nursery. He actually split a kids lip open a few weeks ago.

Have tried to look back and see if something has changed in his diet or surroundings but there is nothing I can pinpoint. Am at my whits end and just not sure how to stop this behaviour - cant face going back to where we were last year - his cm stopped having him because he hit her daughter every day. Just dont know what to do. Any advice? Thanks

what do you do when he hits?

Remove him from situation and tell him "no, we do not hit, it is not nice and you are hurting people". I have started punishment like closing his playroom too in desperation!
