Hi
Ds had a best mate stay over last night.
This morning my dp got up got ready for work didn,t go into ds's room at all so not aware of anything.
DP then came up to me I was still in bed and said how beculiar that both the front doors were unlocked when he had locked both of them last night.
I was surprised that the boys were not up yet it was 8.00am by this time I went inot ds's room no sign of friend ds was still asleep.
Phoned up friends mom who promptly said he has come home.
Turns out that he had used my phone at 6.15am to phone his mom to ask if he could come home, she had refused but he went anyway without a word to me, dp, or ds they don,t live too far can walk there in about 10 mins.
I asked his mom why he would of done that she said she doesn,t know as the lad went to his grandads house just around the corner from them as she was at work on a early start. he had gone to his grandads and knocked on the window.
She said she will speak to him when she gets home.
This mate has been on sleepovers before and has never done this and he frequently comes after school he loves getting to ours.
Ds is upset about it thinks that this lad don,t like him any more and says he doesn,t want to be his friend any more.

What age are they?

I would try not to jump to conclusions. Perhaps he had a night terror or felt ill. Next time you see him let him know that he should have woken you up to let you know he was leaving and that you wouldn't have minded but you didn't want to be worried about him.

How strange. How old are they? You won't know until later on, I am rabidly curious so you must come back and post the reason. IIWY, I'd be furious, while he was in your house I think you were inloco parentis and responisble for him. Odd that the mum said he couldn't go home but never checked to see if he was still there.

Ds is 9, the mate is 8 coming up to 9.

He had told his mom that he had told us he was coming home and that I had dropped him off.

Omg! He's 8 and he did that?? If I were his mum I'd be furious! Yes do come back and tell if you get to the bottom of it.
