ginseng and breast feeding

It was suggested by my acupuncturist that I take ginseng .I am breast feeding ,does anyone know if it is ok to take whilst feeding?

that sounds pretty scary, I think I'll leave it.I have taken it before and it was great, but I hate taking anything when pregnant or feeding(apart from the essential alcohol!!)
