I became a single mother in September and found it very stressful but i done it and i think i coped very well as DD was 2yo n DS was 4mo, i have since been criticised saying i neglected them as they was dirty when they wasn't, my flat was unclean just cos i left toys out and didnt pick up the odd crumb off the floor. I feel hurt and picked on just because i was trying my best. Just want to hear from other mums who became a single mum did i do things wrong?

Well can't you tell your husband to help out more?

Where are your dc? Do they live back with you now?

gembobs · 22/05/2010 23:36

What help are you getting? It sounds like you have more problems than just being a single mum if your DC are fostered and SS are involved.

What's going re: the foster care? Are getting support to help you get the children back and care for them adequately? Do you need to talk to CAB?

I'm very sorry for what's happening to right now, but the only thing you need to focus on right now is doing what you must to prove you are able to care for your children. Hearing how well others did or did not cope will not help you, nor make you feel better.

Myself and I'm sure many others would be happy to give you on-line support through this, but you really need some support in rl. Do you have anyone who could provide that for you?

GypsyMoth · 23/05/2010 09:09

yes, you'll get support here....but you need to be doing whats necessary to have your kids with you again

workk with ss....do exactly as they ask

what about your husband? what have ss asked him to do?
