am i too old for 2nd child

Hi i am 38 years old and have a 12yr old dd. I am considering another child but am worried about the large age gap and my age in terms of healthy babies. Has anyone been through this and got any advice for me? thanks

I am expecting my 3rd at 43. The elder two are 22 and 20. I can't wait, nor can my DH, we're sure it'll be a breeze with all our experience.
