Bedroom design for ds aged 3

Hi

Now ds is coming upto 3 we've decided to redecorate his nursery and make it in to a 'big' boys bedroom.

I wondered what designs you'd gone with for your ds's. I want to stay away from tv characters etc as his favorite changes from week to week.

Any ideas and places to buy from would be great

Thanks

We went for robots.

i think they will like robots for a few years yet.

Next have pretty smart children's bedroom stuff. Keep the walls fairly simple with some bold colours but use duvets, pictures, etc to convey a theme, so you can change regularly.
What does he like?

we've put a giant world map on one wall and then just painted the rest a pale blue colour. It looks great

We got the map from here: www.stanfords.co.uk/

UniSBoy has geometric shapes painted in his choice of colours on a boring magnolia wall.
In the last ( rented ) house he had concentric stripy circle stickers on a boring white wall.

I'm on the look out for bright funky striped or spotty duvet cover to replace Thomas once hes a little older. Bed, wardrobe, bookcase are all white. chest of drawers and toy box are pine.

Most of his posters and pictures are down low so he can see them, as he gets older they will work up the wall.

Its not very age specific but is very "UniSboy".

We kept the walls simple blue and white then had a digger theme and put canvases on the walls etc looks great.

DD 5 and DSS 6 share a room so we have white walls and the whole family had great fun making hand prints all over the walls in very bright colours - the kids love it as it is something they have made and they can see how much their hands grow over time!!!

Great ideas already, thank you. At the moment he is in to dinosaurs, pirates, dragons and robots. Was concerned he may have nightmares with some of those. I still remember a horrendous Womble I had in my bedroom )

Has anyone used the wall stickers?

wall stickers worked well in our last house. On a flat white painted wall, they came off fine, no marks left. BUT that was after only 8 months.
