What area are you in?

Around here (Cardiff area) there are several cafe type places with play areas for small children and a lot of the bigger soft play places have baby areas too.

The smaller ones are independent places, so no chains.

The bigger ones such as Jump! I think are nationwide. I really wouldn't rush to places like that with a 7 month old though - there's plenty of time to experience the horror joys of softplay!

There is one in Banbury which has a sensory room, but a bit far for you!

I agree with Iwish - don't rush to it yet! I was so excited to take DS to soft play and didn't realise how horrible it really is If you want to take your DS to a nice sensory room try your local children's centre as they usually have something.

DS had fun in a little tiny soft play area (literally a ball pit and slide) in the corner of a pub in the Isle of Wight when he was about 13 months, but at 7 months he wouldn't have really known what to do with it.

i am boycotting jump near us as EVERY time we take ds or any of his friends go they ALWAYS get some horrible lurgy 24-48h later. (they are all just over 1 now but first went at 9mo)
last time there was so much gross-ness i decided to never jump again
