If she takes the feed then keep going if you think she needs it, as I'm guessing that if she's waking hungry she does. No idea what Gina says about dream feeding but whatever it it your DD hasn't read the book.

very true, im wondering if i should only give her it if she wakes for it x

I was slightly scared of dropping the 10.30 feed (loved getting a proper night sleep)and for a few nights DD did wake up but I would just settle her back to sleep again. But actually a lot of the time before I dropped the feed I was having to shake DD awake for it! If she is having plenty of milk and some solids during the day you will prob find you can just drop it one day and never go back - hurrah you have just got your life back!

I am in same situation with DD3, who is coming up to 7 months. With other DD's they really cut back on how much they were taking at this feed. DD3 is now doing this and sometimes only taking a couple of onzes, so if this continues I will drop the feed in the next few weeks.

ds2 is nearly 6 months & has a dreamfeed at 11pm. He takes about 6ozs at the moment so I'm going to carry on until that reduces to less than 3ozs. You could always try dropping it for a week & see if she settles without it. She might be waking out of habit rather than hunger.

yea probably right there, i might just try and give her 5 oz then 4oz and so on then just drop it altogether, and fingers crossed i get a good sleep!!

we stopped at 5-months and he started sleeping through.
Mind you, that only lasted until he was 8-months and began teething! He is 1 now.

I dropped one oz every three nights until we got to 2oz in a bottle. Then I just dropped it and DS never woke (although as TurtleAnn says, he then woke for other reasons!). If your DD is having 3 balanced meals and 20 oz of milk during the day, they shouldn't need a dreamfeed anymore!
