How about vulva? Or vagina if you want to get more advanced?

allbie · 09/05/2010 20:49

We call girl's a wilma and boy's a willy! Simple...no problems talking about such things in our house. Just be matter of fact about whatever name you choose, it's no big deal.

DS (6) calls DD (3) bits her line

We copy him, natch.

hellymelly · 09/05/2010 20:59

Well my dds call their vulva their foofoo, but they do know that it is a nickname and is really called a vulva, and they know they also have a vagina and what it is .They are five and three-this-week.

DS (9) calls his bits "privates" and DD (5) calls hers " front bottom" they know the proper name for them but we have said that we don't like them using those words in public.

rusmum · 09/05/2010 21:05

we call thbe our bits!!

BelleDameSansMerci · 09/05/2010 21:08

My DD has her "mim mim" - I can't even remember why. Suspect it came from "min". She's only 2.8 so I'll wait before explaining proper terms. She was shocked to the core when her male cousin took off his shorts (he'd been sick) and his pants came with them and exlaimed, in tones of horror, "What's that?" Cue the conversation...

'wee wee'

passed down from my mother to me and so on. she does know correct names too, she's 8.

Flyonthewindscreen · 09/05/2010 22:16

Girl bits - god I am so ashamed I was always of the call everything by its proper name brigade pre children but said Girl bits in a jokey way years ago and it has stuck... DD is 6 btw.

LostArtOfKeepingASecret · 09/05/2010 22:27

I was all set to call them by the proper names too, but DD and DS both call them their 'bits'. Not very original, I know.

I was going to start calling them by the correct names a while ago, but DS went through a phase of shouting out new words and we didn't want to distress the neighbours.

Smash09 · 10/05/2010 00:42

Ahem... I used to call it my winkle and it's now stuck with my girls. I'm sure that's no help at all but thought I'd throw it out there...

sunnydelight · 10/05/2010 06:33

My 7 year old DD has "girl bits" too for the same reason as Kamer.

puppie · 10/05/2010 09:21

DS is 'winky' Dont have a girl but mine was 'daisy' when I was little

Karola · 10/05/2010 14:57

we are calling it her 'lulu' and that developed because in German instead of wee wee you say lulu and with our mixed languages somehow we ended up calling it lulu (but she goes for a wee wee....) I quite like that! In German very often they called it 'muschi' which I think is quite nice too. Oh, and the boys have a 'anderes (different) lulu'
