There is a travelodge right in the centre of Bath - I know its not four star, but it literally is right in the middle of everything. Only downside is the parking - we parked on a touristy car park overnight when we stayed - we didn't pay after 6pm I think!

i stayed at the Bath Spa, only a short walk into town and had a lovely spa to relax in. Rooms were very nice as well.

Just wanted to add that parking is free after 8pm in most of Baths car parks and there are two travelodges both near centre. The Hilton is also right in the centre if that helps!

Paradise House Hotel. Really good. Five star. Parking and just a short walk into the centre. Great staff and lovely breakfast.

Second vote for Paradise House Hotel - lovely room, enjoyed it so much that I paid for my parents to have a weekend break there too
