..all very sweet when a little peck between her and her new 'boyfriend' but when does it go too far? She has been going in the 'dark den' with some of her male classmates and they have been giving her 'long' kisses - she is only in reception class and i am told this 'dark den' is simply part of their play area and i am extremely happy with the school in general and all of her classmates but one or two if the boys (one in particular) seems pretty progressive shall we say in teh kissing dept. My Dd is an appropriately naive little girl and i think she finds it funny and so we have kept the conversation lighthearted so as to ascertain what a long kiss is and who she does it with and she demonstarted on me and it was slightly open mouthed and long - am I being silly but is this not a little too far even if the young boy in question clearly is just copying grown ups (hes a nice lad) - what should i do? Spk to the school or just leave itand keep the lines of communication open with my daughter?

If they are both 5, there is nothing wrong with kissing. They are just curious. By the time she is 7/8 boys will smell and kissing them will her sick in her mouth (according to dd1's older friend)

Haha! I guess what with her being my eldest I will learn as I go along with her but I suppose the change from pre-school to school has surprised me in many ways but I did tell her it was more ladylike to kiss with her mouth closed lol!
