Cot bed quilt or single bed quilt?

I want to move DD (15mths) from a grobag to a duvet and pillow.

Cot bed duvet covers are v expensive and some here have mentioned using a single duvet sideways.

What does everyone else use?

I use a single duvet on DD's toddler bed. I use it the usual way around but tuck the foot end under the end of the mattress.

I use single, it allows for more snuggle/wrapping room and just hangs off the end of the bed abit.

I use a single on DD's junior bed the normal way. I tuck the excess on the bottom and along one side under the mattress which leaves like a sleeping bag effect. It means she cant kick/pull it off and is still there if she wants to pull it back over her if she wriggles out.

Single duvets covers are much much cheaper and there is a much wider choice of designs and patterns.

I found a character duvet cover helped DD with the transition. She loves her "peppa Bed"

I have a cot bed duvet for DS. I have bought single duvet covers and just sewn across and down to make them smaller. This has saved a fortune because the single covers are so much cheaper - mainly because you can buy them from all larger supermarkets!
A single duvet would be too big for the cot bed
