Nine months and suddenly unsettled?

My LO is now nine months old. Until now he has been a fantastic sleeper... we give him a bath at half 6, bottle then bed. He would always go down in his cot awake and ge himself off to sleep. All of a sudden he's started screaming the minute I leave the room after putting him in his cot. I feel so defeated! I've started 'sshhing' him to sleep and stroking his face to get him to drift off. Any ideas as to what's going on?

He has been poorly and a bit out of routine lately but seemed to recover and fall back into his routine... until now!!

I know I'm so lucky that he's been such a good baby at night up until now and it's just so frustrating that it's starting to change!

Thanks in advance for any advice!!

Teething and seperation anxiety.

All babies are good, there is no such thing as a bad baby. My daughter was an excellent sleeper until 7 months, but it all went wrong with teething. Your lo is going through a hard time and its probably a bit much for him.

This phase will pass. My eight year old sleeps through the night and is potty trained.
