Afrikaans speakers in Oxfordshire and around

Just wondering if anyone wanted to link up with us.

My husband is Afrikaans South African (bilingual with English) and I am British (with reasonable Afrikaans). We are bringing up our daughter (20mo) bilingually, using exclusively one language each. She is speaking English well, but just a few words in Afrikaans, although her understanding is obviously very good.

I am thinking that little Afrikaans-speaking buddies would be great for her to hang out with every now and then!

Hiya

We are in Wiltshire. I am South African and speak Afrikaanes to our 19mo DD most of the time (unless we are out in an all English group) and DH speaks english to her. She is very talkative in English and will mix in Afrikaans words when fancies it.

You can mail me on oopsacoconut at aol . com (no spaces)
