He really does have just about everything......... we had planned a few days away during the Easter hols with some days out for him including go ape. His mum booked something for him on one of the days we were to be away and refused to change or cancel it so we couldnt take him. We told him we would go some other time. Then a week later dss called to say his mum had taken him to go ape as an early birthday present. He told us a few things he'd quite like for his birthday but then 10 minutes after he got home his mum called to say not to get him any of them as they'd got them all for him.
Last year we told him we'd get him guitar hero for his wii for his birthday (he'd got a wii for xmas) - a month later she'd bought it for him already. We gave him money to buy himself something whilst in states on holiday but it seems he'd put it into a food kitty. He said he'd maybe like money for his holiday this year but we're really reluctant. Incidently, we wanted to take him on holiday this year to his fathers homeland but were told that he couldnt take time out of school. Instead they are taking him on a package holiday and he'll be missing school. Last year we asked to take him to disney and were told no - they changed their holiday from spain to disney.

Any ideas greatly appreciated

I would take him shopping and let him choose some stuff so his mum can't muck it up!

Agree with the shopping idea. Could you do him a party/sleepover/cinema trip. Or maybe something like Alton Towers. Could you afford to take a friend of his and maybe stay in a B&B so you have two days there?

Take him to a shop like Superdry and let him chose some really great stuff for the summer.
