Bambinex - what am i doing wrong?

I got a kit from fill-your-pants.com with bumgenius (which are great) and 2 bambinex nappies w a green wrap for nighttime. The bambinex seem to get soaked really easily and then sit wet against DS skin - and this was after only2 hrs during the day. How on earth are they meant to last the night or am i doing something very wrong? They've been washed maybe 5 or 6 times.

At the moment I'm using disposables overnight to avoid excess nappy changes, but would like a real alternative. Any advice out there?

Thanks

Which kind of Bambinex, the bamboo or the teddies? Have you done the required number of pre-washes to increase their absorbancy (usually about 6). A fleece liner will help with keeping wetness away from the skin.

The bamboo kind. They were specifically put in the kit for nighttime use so am not sure what's going on, or whether to persevere with them.

Ime every night nappy needs at least one extra booster. Bambinex have v long tabs so actually work quite well if you put on liner (for the wetness), booster that comes with it - folded in half, shaped bit, then a second shaped one, then the wrap.

Wool is best for a night wrap too - much more breathable.

Hiya,

I use bambinex as a night nappy and they work really well on my 16 month old. But they will need to be boosted with more bamboo and if little one is a boy if boost the front of the nappy by folding a booster up in the wet zone.

The actal nappy will get quite wet but if you use a fleece liner it will keep baby dry and it wont bother him. As long as you have a good wrap it will contain all the liquid, if you find it leaks but the fit is good try adding more boosting.
