Teenage parents

I am in my final year of a social policy degree and am interested in teenage pregnancy and motherhood in relation to class, along with the media misrepresentation and public opinion on the issue. I?m hoping to find some teenage mothers here to discuss their personal experiences of motherhood along with the media portrayal of them, I?ve only got a few questions and it won?t take longer than 5 or 10 minutes out of your day, I?d really appreciate it if any of you would take part.

My research dissertation, which is a project researching the work already done in the area along with providing my own research and findings after reading varied literature on the subject, including other research, official statistics and media articles will be based largely on how class affects the likelihood of teenage pregnancy and motherhood, focusing on current policy targeting teenage mothers and the constant media spotlight on the issue.

All personal information will be treated as anonymous, strictly confidential and will not be made publicly available or given to any other person, and in relation to the negative press aimed at teenage mothers, it?d be great to hear some real experiences which will help me to address the many stereotypes and double standards around the issue.

If you are interested in having a chat about this then please reply here and I?ll be happy to chat online whenever it suits you. Thank you, Helen.
