bedwetting wet duvet any ideas?

My 4 yr old DS is dry at night most of the time, but then has phases where he wets the bed quite a lot.

He always gets the duvet wet, and I have got so fed up with it I don't even attempt to wash it anymore, just let it dry out, I cannot see the point in trying to wash it when I cannot get it dry. (it dries far more easily with just a bit of wee on than if it is washed).

Any ideas on how to stop the duvet getting wet??

I think you can get waterp[roof duvet covers, but I don't know how comfortable they are.

Google gave lots of results eg www.pshealthcare.co.uk/incontinence/index.asp?section=waterproof_bedding_14

Put an extra sheet between him and the duvet -that's more likely to get wet than the actual duvet.Or could you revert to sheets and blankets that are easier to wash until he's dry?

A fleece blanket between him aqnd the duvet should work, fleece doesn't soak up liquid and dries really fast if you do need to wash it.

Argos sell waterproof duvets and pillows.

There are lots of companies that supply either "no-wash" duvets etc or waterproof covers for beds, pillows and mattresses.

It is what they use in hospitals and care homes. I have some but that is because I know someone who works for a supply company but it is commercial trade only, sorry.

As PrettyCandles says google incontinence care there should be loads.
