Econobum

I don't think anyone else has posted about these, but I bought one to try.

I found them to be fine, but with one problem: when dd did one of her lovely copious runny poos, some of it leaked through the needle holes in the wrap!

Even my crappy Bambino Mio wraps don't do that. Am I doing something wrong?

Sounds more like they are! Not sure I'd trust a nappy called Econobum anyway

Just curious but what did you find wriong with Bambino Mio's? I really want to use reusables but not sure which are best and also good value for money.

I've got some econobum and some flip nappies and have to say I have not had a leaky wrap from either and dd has super runny breastmilk poo. I'd think about returning it and seeing if it is a fault. I've used my econobum wrap since Feb and no problems as yet.

Econobum is made by BumGenius.

Belly, I think you're right.

The Bambino Mio set I have is third hand so I can hardly complain. I don't use them much any more as I bought some Pop-Ins and Little Lambs, which I much prefer.

I also, unlike the nappying elite, seem unable to mix and match wraps and inserts. I tried the Econobum inner with a Motherease wrap and, well, a substantial mess ensued.

I don't have Econobum but my bf does and she loves them - thinks they are brilliant value and a really good wrap. I've seen them and was surprisingly impressed (given the price) and when she told me they were made by bumgenius I thought they must be good. She has said that she keeps the econobum insert for the econobum wrap and never has a problem...
It might be good to contact the place you got the nappy from?

I have the bumgenius flips and I am in love with them. The wraps are amazing - contain everything, no leaks - ever, and fit perfectly.

I actually use a mixture of the econobum and flip and do mix and match the inserts and wraps but I think both being from bumgenius it seems ok. I love the system, it is so easy to use. However recently bought some of the disposable pad things to use in the flip wraps if I'm having a bad few days and am behind on washing. They are pretty pants, hardly soak up any wee and kind of bunch up. Can't really see the point of the disposables but love the rest of the flip and econobum systems.

Personally I thought the econobum wraps felt cheap and I would not expect them to last the wash and wear of a full nappy life span. I use motherease and the quality of their wraps is definately superior, well worth the money and because they stay looking great, they sell on very well.
