So it turns out I really must get a job before this '4 years and qualified to be a nurse' scenario.
I'm just wondering if this access course (health professionals and science) could actually pave the way for an actual job (such as nursing auxilary or health care assistant) or is it strictly a course for getting into Uni?
What I'm saying is, if in a years time I was to apply for a nursing auxilary post with voluntary NHS work under my belt plus the access course, would I stand anymore of a chance than I would have done going in for it with zero qualifications?
Also, say I did get a job as a nursing auxilary, could I actually train up to be a nurse from that or would I be stuck with that job? (not that there's anything wrong with it but I don't really want to jealodise my chance of qualifying to be a nurse)
