Hopefully some of you have some good tips on staying motivated while doing my dis.

I've done the research and now have to write it all up. I have got 11 days to write up all my analysis, lit review etc and wondered if anyone had any tips for me on how to get my words done and stay motivated?

I keep trying but family life takes over. I am seriously lacking in any kind of motivation and now the panic is setting in as i only have 11 days to do it ( not the deadline but my supervisor wants to see it)!

The Easter hols have started and am worried how I will write all my dis, amuse the chn, clean the house, cook dinner etc.

Main question is how can I stay motivated for my dis? I loose interest quickly and staying on track is hard!
Tips please!!

The first rule of any writer is... sit down in front of the keyboard/typewriter... and type, type anything, something. Then the flow will come.

The hardest part of writing is sitting down. Writer's block is a phenominum that is real. But the only way to break through the apathy is to write.

Construction of a dis is important. Like anything to do with writing there has to be a beginning, middle and an end.

Write the dis and then comes the next hurdle... editing. To edit your own musings is also hard. But this can be achieved easier if you pretend the writings are someone else's. If your dis is 7,000 words write 9,000 and then edit it down and you'll have a pass with honours.

Time management is key. You have to give yourself me-time, with no distractions. Organise the kids so you can be alone for a few hours per day. And keep to that disipline; the same time each day. before you know it the words will flow.

Then you can go for the Masters!

Good luck.
