So nervous about writing to old uni

I didn't finish my degree course about 15 years ago.
I now want to complete it with the OU but am worried about my old uni's reply as to my studies.
I wasn't exactly a model pupil; I missed loads of lectures and handed work in late and rushed, I met my DH in my 2nd year and we were both so irresponsible he even got sacked.
Has anyone else had to do this? What kind of information will they give about me? Maybe I should just start again from the start.

How much did you complete? 15 yrs is a long time and I'm sure they would realise that you're not the same person now as you perhaps were then.

I definitely completed the 1st year as they let me start the 2nd after that I might have some credits, but after looking at the ou website I can only transfer level 1 credits anyway. The equivalent of 1 year full time study at the OU costs about £1000-1500. So I suppose It's worth trying.
