Limited screen/computer time

My DS is 7, is generally an outdoor child but I've noticed him spending more time on computer/wii etc this winter so have started to limit the time he's allowed on it to an hour a day and 2 at weekends.

He watches very little tv.

Does anyone else do this? What time do you allow? Would be interested in other parent's routines.

I have tried a load of systems, anyway, at the moment DC have to do homework and then they can get 2 hours on Saturday. They do chores to get 2 hours on Sundays and other non-school days.

School days they can only do 'educational' type stuff onscreen.... in theory! Hard to be perfectionist about it.

My DC - 12 & 13 - spend far too much infront of sceens but we now are trying to restrict to 2 hours per day. We bought McAfee family protection for their PCs but is slowed up the loading speeds etc.
