Support and advice for bottle-feeding

Are there any threads on this board for mothers who bottle-feed, especially for whom this was not their first choice? I don't mind starting a new one, but I wondered if there was one maybe already out there; quotes from the bottle-feeding advice section on MN suggest so...

I had both c-section and am now bottle-feeding - neither are what I envisaged and I am struggling to come to terms with not doing what Nature intended on either count. I know I shouldn't, but for the time-being I do feel like a total failure. And I am fed up reading "for those who choose to bottle-feed" as I really don't feel like it was a choice. There appears to be so much support and advice out there for Breast-feeding, but very little for bottle-feeding.

On a more practical note, when you are bottle-feeding, how does feeding on demand work rather than feeding to a schedule. I'm on a four hourly schedule which seems to be working pretty well for both me and DD, but is "on demand" better? How do you avoid constantly making up bottles just for baby to feed a little at a time?

I hate to see a thread like this unanswered, but I can't help you myself. HAve you tried posting in the feeding threads? I'm almost certain there is one there for breast AND bottle feeding..

Oh, I didn't realise there was a separate section on feeding in the "Feed the World" section til now.

Thanks. Will go look there.
