I have a 17month old who currently sleeps in his own room which is quite big and a 4 month old who is sleeping in his cot in my room. Over the next couple of months i will be moving him into a bedroom as i did with my son before he gets old enough to realise (wink).I am undecided where to put him i would like to have them both in the same room which will allow us to keep a spare for visitors but do not know if this is a good idea. Does anybody have any thoughts or has put their kids in the same room with a similar age gap.

Sounds just fine to me, Emma. My twins have always shared. What are your worries?

We put ours in together when they were age 1 and age 3.

Putting them together too early though may cause problems if one is still waking up at night and ten waking the other one up.

Ours are now age 8 and 10 and still love sharing a room.

I think my main worries are that i have only just got my 17month old to go to bed and settle on his own and sleep through in his own bed im a little worried new baby will wake him maybe and unsettle him again. my 4 month sleeps through at the moment but what about when he is teething if he wakes etc
