Hi I have bought enough nappies now really for my baby but they are all birth to potty and I dont think I could fit many newborn or 0-3 size clothes over them so was looking for some slim and good size 1 nappies. What would you recommend?
I know bamboo is the best for slim but I do not have a tumble drier so would prefer not to use bamboo.
Have dream dri and motherease so far BTW
Thanks

he fit the sandy's size ones at around 5/6 weeks (i think... tis blurry) and tey got us til about 6 months (ish)

We used prefolds with a nappy nippa for the first three months. We had newborn and small sizes the newborn nappies go up to around 9lbs, and give a much smaller bum.
Quite cheap and dry fast we did ours on a clothes horse overnight and always had enough.
The wraps can cop a bit of the bf poo, not so bad for formula poo, less runny.
Probably had one or two pooey vest incidents a week, definitely not every change - that would have been fun.
Generally, the nappy can go straight into the washing machine because the poo soaks in, so difficult to scrape off or see benefit from a liner.
We used to do a 60 degree wash for any pooey nappies and add an extra rinse to the cycle. If you stick the nappies outside, the sun quite often lifted the marks, but it doesn't matter if there are marks other than from a cosmetic point of view, they aren't harmful.

xs sandies and size 1 bimbles were best for my newborn. Defintely contained the poo better than the disposibles.

Muslin + nippa + motherease rikki wrap is the way to go as terries will be far too bulky on a nb.

I really don't understand why people think terries are such a hassle - I sling them in the nappy bin (Johnson and Johnson lockable box that someone gave us with toileteries in which has a handy handle), bung them in the wash and hang them on the line. I even iron them (I find they sit much better and aren't so bulky) and I don't find it takes up too much time.
