How long do you think is a 'safe' amount of time on the playstation. Not particularly worried but reading articles over the weekend on new clinic for kids 'addicted'...thoughts?

How awkward is the child about getting off? If they have mega-paddies about quitting, then I think they're probably overdoing it.

It probably depends on what else they do with their time too.

We do one hour on, one hour off while we are at home. Both my boys, 2 and 4, play on our desktop PCs.
They usually do more than one hour off the computer because they get distracted with other fun stuff.

They have become completely accepting of it being time to turn off, though there were some tantrums at first.

Ds (4) is not allowed to turn it on before 4 o'clock and I try and stretch it longer if he hasn't noticed.

It is useful though to keep him occupied whilst I cook and tea at 5.30 marks the point it goes off for the night. He usually has an hour.
