Is 4 days too long to be away from the kids for?

They are 9, 6 and 4. They will have their dad with them when not at school.

I dont think so. But then i left ds 1.5 with DGP and went on short break for 4 days with DH when pregnant with DD.

It was nice but i felt like i was missing part of me. He was also too young to understand or talk to on phone.

It would be 3 nights so not a full 4 days.

I would be okay with leaving kids that old - and I am quite neurotic ! But its your feelings that count.

My DH's ex left my DSDs at les than 3 and (way) less than 1 for over a week.

DH's mum looked after them while he was at work.

I'm sure at the age of your kids, they will be fine.

My friend came to visit leaving her 3 and 5 yos with their dad. They were all fine - even dad!
