My 3 who are 2, 5 and 6 all go at 6.20 and are in the land of nod by half past. They had a late (7.30) night on Saturday and all looked like death warmed up tonight so went up just after 6. They generally sleep until 6.30.

Absolutely not. DS (now 7) goes up to bed at 7 during the week and his light goes out at 7.30. Sometimes a little later at the weekend but usually 7.30 for 8pm lights out. He needs the sleep.

It depends on what time they go to sleep.

They dont go to bed at 7pm and fall asleep straight away.

DS1 is 8 in April and I send him and DS2 (5y) up at 7pm ish, knowing that they will have a story and read in bed and be asleep by 8pm.

If I sent them at 8pm they might not go to sleep til 9pm and that is too late for them.

They wake at 7am.
