Argh, argh, argh my boys were engaged in sexual play and though it made me smile it also freaked me a little

I went up to bed last night to make sure they were actually sleeping not playing as I could hear the patter of naughty footsteps and it was gone 8pm. Sure enough, the 6 and 8 year old boys were in bed together, hiding under duvets and peeking out at me suspiciously. This usually means DSs are in use so I go to pull the duvet back to remove said Nintendo but instead I find both boys with pants down. One was sort of on top of the other.

I'll tell you what I did in a mo. But, what would you have done people?

Probably laughed, but since I don't have more than one girl it's unlikely to be an issue for me. Although having said that, dd and her friend engaged in some vulva comparisons at the age of fourish, I was invited to judge who had the most colours.

tiredemma · 12/03/2010 10:30

I found my (then 2 and 5 yr old ) boys engaging in a game of 'suck my willy' in the bath once- I had a hot flush and shouted at them and said they could never bathe together ever again.
I then came on Mnet and retold my story in horror, only to be told to chill out, its fairly normal.

morningpaper · 12/03/2010 10:33

I would have said "knickers on and go to sleep" in the same Mummy-Is-Annoyed tone that I would have used for discovering illegal DS usage

bronze · 12/03/2010 10:39

I might have said that is innapropriate and then the same as mp. We have had problems with ds1 and not knowing the boundaries (aspergers probable) at school and have been told to just remind him when things are inapropriate

Rockbird · 12/03/2010 10:47

I would have had to leave the room momentarily in order for my face to settle down, then I would have gone back in and said what mp said.

inthesticks · 12/03/2010 14:21

I would have struggled not to laugh but put on a stern voice and told them to go to sleep and stop being silly.
I remember a similar incident which is now a family legend.
The two DSs were around 3 and 5. They were supposed to be having breakfast and I heard screams of laughter from the kitchen. When I went to investigate they had bowls of milk and cereal on the floor and no pants on.
" We were dipping our willys in the milk".

lukewarmcupoftea · 12/03/2010 14:25

I can't help but ask - inthesticks - did you then make them eat the cereal?

inthesticks · 12/03/2010 14:33

It was mostly all over them and the floor.
I had to put on a cross face.

This kind of story is worth remembering for when they are around 8 or 9 they love to hear about funny things they did when they were little.
I'd better not mention it now though in front of DS1s GF.

Katyathegringa · 15/03/2010 15:09

I have absolutely nothing constructive to add to this thread at all I'm afraid - just wanted to say that I just had to leave my desk and go to the ladies until the tears of laughter had subsided and I could keep a straight face. Thanks all for giving me the biggest laugh I've had in ages.

hobbgoblin - you still haven't told us how you dealt with the situation?

notevenamousie · 15/03/2010 15:14

I too only have the one, but probably a 'what are you doing, and why' followed by a 'back to bed now' assuming the answer to the above wasn't one that bothered me unduly.

needanightoutsoon · 15/03/2010 22:49

inthesticks - i pmsl ! please tell him in front of gf - and let us know what his face was like lol ....

.....just kidding bless him ..oh the joys!

on a serious note i would have said the same as mp way too young to understand anything is wrong in it bless them i love them at this age they can be sooo funny without even trying x

ChasingSquirrels · 15/03/2010 22:53

OMFG - love the willies in the milk line.

MmeLindt · 15/03/2010 22:56

I would have tried to not laugh and then sent them both back to bed.

I once caught DS trying to teach the dog to lick his willy.

JustAnotherManicMummy · 15/03/2010 22:57

Have no advice but pmsl. Come on OP? What did you do?

VKschmeekay · 15/03/2010 23:20

Just marking a place on thread as DS is approaching this so this thread may give me much needed future help!

bluemonkey123 · 18/03/2010 10:57

Inthesticks, I just Laughed so loud at my desk (while i am sneakily reading MN, but pretending to work!)
Luckily PG, so colleagues are used to my weird mood swings now

I remember kissing (with tongues) my little sister when I was little I think all kids go through it as experimentation, it's natural. I would just do the same as most have said "come on you two, you are meant to be sleeping..Back to bed" (after getting over my laughing fit of course!)

NinthWave · 18/03/2010 11:00

No advice OP, but wanted to add that I cought my DS squashing his willy into his playdoh earlier this week. "Look Mummy I done a pattern with my willy!"

"That's lovely darling, now put your trousers back on please..."

Lifeinagoldfishbowl · 18/03/2010 11:03

Lifeinagoldfishbowl · 20/03/2010 17:20

So what did you do Hobgoblin

Nettiespagetti · 25/03/2010 11:26

OMG how funny milky willys and playdough!!

You are all so calm i think i would panic and shout!! Then berate myself for it and not know where to go next.

I know now come to MN!!

MyCatIsABastard · 25/03/2010 11:34

Not quite the same but this morning my DH was having a bath and our DC like to be his audience. DD, 4, said very loudly "Daddy, my brother is a boy and he has a really little willy (DS is 1), But Daddy, you're a boy and you've got a GREAT BIG ONE".

I could practically hear DH go red. He said "yes, yes er right, er OK, well, don't go on about it er... can you pass me the towel please"

It was his own fault as I did offer to take them out of the bathroom but he said he didn't mind! I bet he does now!

Go on then, what did you do? Apart from try not to laugh.

MyCatIsABastard · 25/03/2010 11:35

I Love the playdough incident .
