Lollipop fear

This may sound silly but i panic about my dd having lollipops (the boiled sweet kind) Because I keep thinking it'll come off the stick and she'll choke on the ball. For this reason i dont buy them (besides the fact they are rather teeth rotting) but she has had them on 2 occasions- once when we were at the kiddy hairdressers (they gave her one) and once in a party bag.

She is 2.4 am i being over protective??

I worry more about DS falling over with a lollipop and choking he never has one. He only really likes chocolate.

i almost daren't admit this but mine is 12 and i still worry about this! i hate it when her dad buys her bags of lollys or massive boiled sweets.

I wouldn't give a 2.4 year old a lollipop both becaue of the choking risk and also because at that age they clean their teeth rather haphazardly.

There is no way I would give my 3 or 5 year old a lollipop, I would rather they gobbled tons of other sweeties really fast. Lollipop sucking must be so bad for their teeth. If someone else gives them one I tell them to eat it after tea and then after tea i swap it for other more munchable sweets.
