Best nappies for thin baby

My baby is 9lb (only 3 weeks old) but is long and thin - leaks out of legs ALL the time- four or more times a day. Has anyone got any suggestions about disposable or cloth nappies that work well for babies with thin thighs? Suggestions would be much appreciated!

Which nappies are you using at the moment?

MotherEase Sandy's nappies are lovely - gently elasticated around the legs, and use a MotherEase Rikki cover (velcro fastening) with them - or possibly a MotherEase Airflow, which has poppers at the waist, and thigh, so you could fasten tighter around the thigh where necessary.

You want covers with a gusset, like Motherease Rikkis or Imse Vimse. IV works really well for my skinny legged 20 month old--they sit a bit lower on the leg so don't gap as the baby moves. What are you using now?

Sandys with Rikki covers are pretty awesome for tiny babies. You'll never have a poo leak again.

My skinny ex prem has always worn tescos disposables with no leaks

My baby is long & thin. Little Lamb bamboo fitted & wraps have been brilliant, as have Bumgenius & Rumparooz pockets.

My DD was very thin as a baby (and is now a thin 4 year old!) and I used prefolds, but folded them and fastened them with a nappy nippa. I then used a velcro cover over the top. They worked a treat.

When DD#3 was new I used bambinex fitted bamboo nappies with motherease airflow wraps. I found these very effective indeed for containing it all. I don't get on as well with the Motherease Rikki wraps though. Like you my babies were all small with skinny legs! Now she is bigger I am still very keen on a similar set up but I have discovered the new Totsbots stretch bamboozles (instead of the bambinex) and they are even better at least at this older age (DD coming up for 5 months now). They do make a small sized one, but DD was too big by the time they release it for me to try that one but I would certainly highly recommend them.
