His face is really hot, well he is quite hot all over. I have checked his temp (in ears) about 10 times (!!) and it comes out 36.9 so no fever.

Should I be worried? Do anything?

is he overdressed for the room temp? Could he be hot and sweaty for this reason but still well.

If you can't detect an abnormal temp in his ears, do you have an old fashioned thermometer you can use to take his temp under his arm.

In small babies the ear thermometers can be quite innaccurate,I would go by touch,if he seems hotter than normal to you then he probably is- try some calpol.(could he be cutting a tooth?)

I never trust ear thermometers - I check my temp 5 times in a row and they all read really different, one 37, one 35 and in between. I'd use a forehead thermometer or normal glass one under his arm or just take off some layers.

I couldn't find our normal thermometer so I stripped some clothes off, gave calpol, and sat in his room til I was certain he was ok.

Thanks
