Should I go back to this hair dresser ?

Hi, I take my daughter to the same hairdresser every 2 months. She has cut my daughters hair 4 times now, and the first 3 times, it looked gorgeous. She has thick hair cut into a bob.
It's quite expencive there at £20 for her cut and blow dry, but because it always looked fantastic I didn't mind paying it.
The last time she went though, the hairdresser didn't cut it short enough, and it just wasn't anywhere neer as lovely as it usually is. It's now 1 month since she had it done and already it looks as if it needs doing again.
I'm now trying to find reviews for a decent hairdresser in the Exeter- Torbay area.
I'm not sure wether to give her old hair dresser a second chance and say "could it be a bit shorter this time etc" or wether to try somewhere else. The problem is, I'm not sure what to say to the hairdresser to explain how it was so much better last time, as I'm not sure what she did differently, all I know is that it was shorter and looked much better.
After her last appointment, I had decided to just let her hair grow now because the upkeep is so expencive and if she's not always fantastic then there's little point.
We are going on holiday in April, so I'd like it to look nice for that.
Also does anyone know of any good hairdressers in Exeter or Torbay ? thanks.

Anyone can have an off day. I would go back. If you aren't happy you should just ask for it to be done a bit shorter. Hairdressers don't usually take this sort of thing personally.

i was talkign to my new closest friend, who is mobile hairdresser about how if people aren't happy they just never go back. i thought that was odd. does it happenin other areas ? suppose so. if you had a bad mean bad take-away you might not go back. but it would have to be really bad, right.
we had a bad curry. phoned up. next one almost free. never had a problem again.
had been going to hairdresser for ages. best cuts i'd ever had. then i was unhappy. dh made me go back. couple of snips and it was transformed. he said that he was so happy that i came back and that most people don't. as now confirmed by my new friend. been happy ever since with him.
so she did a good job, then once didn't cut it short enough. why didn't you go back at the time ? becasue its not the done thing. go back. be honest, say i wasn't happy before becasue .... but it had been so good before, i thought i'd give you another chance.

I would go back, but I do think you are paying over the odds. I pay 10 pounds for a cut and blowdry, together with a DVD on whilst hair is being cut, balloon and packet of raisins at a children's hairdressers in Exeter. It is called Nippers and it is really good.

Agree. £7 to £10 for a child is the norm in Surrey.

I agree it is very expencive, especially as she needs it doing every 2 months to keep it looking nice.

I might try Nippers, I've hered mixed reviews, some say how good it is, then others say it's gone down hill and the cuts aren't very good.

She does have tricky hair to cut as it's so thick. I could take a photo along of how it looked at it's best and see if they can re-create that. It would save a lot of money, if they did it well.
