things to do over summer holidays in wandsworth/putney with 22 months old ds!

playgroup is shut. all the other classes/stuff seems to be too.

any suggestions. really need to plan my week and put structured stuff in it otherwise will go mad.

ds is 22 months old and we're based in putney. sometimes have car, sometimes not.

will pay, but free things would be good too.

hope someone can suggest something!

Off the top of my head, visit your local library and see if there are any publications like Primary Times or Families - these magazines have local editions and will be packed full of activities over the holidays. Are there any National Trust properties near you? Again, they often run special children's days. Check out your local leisure centres and also your local council's website for council run activities.

I live in Sheen so can tell you about stuff happening around Richmond/Sheen way. It is easy to gt here by bus. These are just some of the things I have done with DS.

There is Hugos (playcentre thingy) in Richmond.

Kew Gardens with a huge snakes and ladders playground.

Take the train into Waterloo (which is fun for kids in itself) and go to london aqaurium or just hang out around there looking at river etc.

have you got a bike? have recently got into biking around with ds on the back and it's great. There are loads of off-road routes down by the river and you can stop off, feed ducks etc. Wastes at least half a day (and you burn calories at the same time!!)
