Anybody know anything about the current baby vaccinations?

I am refering to the 8, 12 & 16 week vaccinations for babies.

I'd really like to know why do they have to have the same injections so many times?

Are the 2nd and 3rd doses of the vaccines, a 'just-in-case' thing? As in, in case the 1st dose has not worked?

Or, do the 3 doses work as some sort of course? In which case, the 1st and 2nd doses are a complete waste of time unless you have the 3rd dose and 'complete the course'.

Just trying to get my head around exactly what is being pumped into my child and why

I took it that baby could not have the full dose in one go so they give it in parts!

Anyone else?!

The immunisations website might give you a bit more info (or more questions!)

According to the NHS website the subsequent injections are 'boosters' but are required to give full immunisation. I suspect therefore that the full course is required.
