Why are my Sandies pink?

They are coming out of the wash tinged pink, obviously where the poo and wee was strongest. I`ve now had them hanging outside for a couple of days in the light (some sun, some cloud) but if anything they're pinker than ever.

I dry pail, cold rinse cycle, wash at 40 then line dry outside or on rack over radiator.

They're cotton btw.

Any ideas?

do you think it could have anything to do with build up? would stripping them help?

no socks, cos I only put nappies in and wash every other day.

Could be - would def strip wash and see if makes a difference - also try some laundry bleach like home scents one.
