I have DD's 2 years and 4 months and since the second was born, I have been counting the time until I can possibly try for a third . Husband has agreed in principle and I have always had easy pregnancies and births but he lives 200miles away due to his job and he thinks I won't manage on my own with three under 3! Am I being unrealistic? I am not a wonder mum and have my moments when it all goes wrong but I just think I have so much love to give to another little one.

No not mad at all

By the time dd3 was 5 months I had found out I was expecting dd4, there is a 13mo gap between them and it is fantastic, they play together and are at similar stages, also we were already washing nappies and having sleepless nights so it wasn't a big culture shock.

3 under 3 is a lot

i have a DD of 4 months and a DS of 3.5 years

Do you have good sleepers? If so, i can understand why you would want to go for it

my 2 have been fairly terrible sleepers and DD is up every 3 hours at night still and it has put me off no. 3 TBH

rubyslippers, I am lucky as the 2 year old goes to bed by 6.30pm and sleeps through to 7am every night and I am only waking for one feed at 4am with the younger one. I guess thats why I am happy to go for number 3. Doesn't feel like I have a complete family yet and the thought of not having another little babe makes me sad.
