My young DC wear the same clothes until they are dirty - (not underwear) - even socks..sometimes it can be a few days - is this normal and ok?

I think perhaps I am lucky in that my garden faces south and seems to get sunshine all day - that's when the sun does bloody well shine .

I also have a laundry room which has all the airers in so don't have to have laundry scattered round the house on various clothes horses and bannisters.

I do have a tumble drier so don't use it a lot in relation to the washing machine due to the fact I have plenbty of room to air dry.

Abride I don't think that airing the sheets would make them feel clean tbh.

I am not a clean obsessive (I don;t wash my towels every day for instance) but I do think that having clean clothes etc is a priority for me. Like I say I would feel paranoid if I didn;t have clean things.

DS (3) gets clean undies and socks daily, a clean top most days (as it is filthy after a day on him) and clean trousers every other day. If I can get more than one day out his top, I will, but it is usually covered in a patina of snot, yogurt and other sludge.

Jammies last about 3 or 4 nights. Bedding and towels once a week.

Oh, adn I a m lucky enough to rarely need to use the drier - I have airers in front of the heaters at night and stick clothes on the line in the sun (which we have today!)

DD (21 months) has her pyjamas washed every 3 days, grobag, all our towels and her cot sheet are washed once a week. Socks and tops/vest every day, socks sometimes every other day if she is indoors all day in her slippers. Trousers and cardigan every 2 days unless they get dirty. Sometimes the clothes still smell of washing powder at the end of the day and are clean, no way I'm washing them!

My bedsheets are washed every two weeks, bed is king size and we have no dryer, and it seems fine to my nose anyway. I change underwear every day obv, tops every other day, cardigans and are washed jeans once a week.

DP is sweaty and sometimes wears 2 t-shirts a day, mre in our hot summers! (all I seem to do is wash is t-shirts - woe is me!)

Socks and pants are washed every day but the other clothes are put back into the wardrobe if they are still clean. I can't understand why you would wash something that isn't dirty. Besides from the fact that it is wasteful on electricity washing clothes too often means they wear out quicker.

socks, tights, knickers, vest clean everyday. Everything else washed when visibly dirty.

DD's are 3.5 & virtually 1, both stay fairly clean foodwise (& dd2 is blw - I use a bib with the arms covered & seems to do the trick)

Having said that if she does get dirty
during the course of the day I don't generally change her clothes - food stains etc (if a change is hygenically necessary then of course I do ;) )
Environmentally & the extra work it creates makes washing more unreasonable for me.

my teenagers wear the same clothes until they wash em.

I only change DD's clothes when they are dirty, but as she's 18 months old, that tends to be three times a day.
