bumgenius as occasional swim nappies?

I think I might be going mad - am sure I have read somewhere about someone using bumgenius v3 nappies (without the inner) as a swim nappy quite happily but I can't find anything now. Has anyone tried this successfully?
Thanks!

BumGenius's Australian site says: "you don't need a separate swim nappy when you use bumgenius pocket nappies. Simply use the outer, minus the absorbent insert, for a very cost effective swim nappy!"

I have used a BG as a swim nappy - well, my DS has. My all-time favourite, though, is a Itti Bitti D'Lish without the snap-in inserts (or with just the hourglass one if not going into the water straight away).

I have used a fuzzis before so i guess its same principle - dont know if chemicals in pool would damage pul and void any guarantees though.

Dense q!

Are the bumgeniusV3 the ones with the velcro or poppers?

We use the velcro ones at work (nanny) and this would be so much better if i can use these ones for swimming!

Velcro tabs...

I use my bumgenius onesize v3 without insert as a swim nappy and it works a treat!!!
I also used it as a potty training pant!!!
You can definitely do this without difficulty!

P.s. exactly as wellbalanced said - the velcro ones.
