How to stimulate appetite - any ideas?

My DD is almost 3 and had a nasty virus last week. She is over it now but still quite tired and weak and I am struggling to get her to eat. Have tried letting her have anything she wants, letting her graze, offering smoothies etc but still not having much.

Any ideas on how to stimulate her appetite and build her up a bit would be much appreciated.

If she usually eats well, then stick with what you are doing. I wouldn't worry too much, it will come back in time.

buy Minidex, from the supermarket or pharmacy. it contains essential vitamins and iron, which boosts the appetite.

maybe wrap her up well and take her out for a walk (if she'll still get in the pram?) - I find fresh air usually works wonders, so it might help give her a bit of an appetite? also, maybe try not to offer anything after breakfast until lunch to let her appetite build up a bit? - if she isn't that hungry then having a little bite of little snacks might be taking the edge off her appetite even more? - tough one though, as when we're ill ourselves we probably eat little and more often. hope she's better soon.
