Fuzzi Bunz or Lollipop?

Hi everyone
Okay, well I have been converted to cloth nappies finally! This is my 2nd baby, and I always thought they would be such a faff, but my friend has lent me a few different ones to try and I'm amazed at how much I love them!
Anyway, now has come the time to actually decide which ones I prefer and I'm getting slightly stressed out about it!

I'm definitely going to go for the pocket nappies. They just seem easier for me to use and from the ones I've tried they seem to dry a lot quicker...

The decision really is between Fuzzi Bunz and Lollipop Pop N Gro

I did try Tots Bots aswell and I'm not overly impressed. The velcro seems very rigid and as my little boy is almost 6 months and starting to move around and trying to crawl, I can't help feeling this would be a bit restrictive and uncomfortable. What are other peoples opinions on the Tots Bots onesize pocket?

The issues I have with deciding on the fuzzi bunz or Lollipop are this... The Fuzzi Bunz I like because they aren't as bulky and so far they have done a good job of holding everything in. They also have poppers which although I do think they're fiddly, they seem to give the impression that they would be more comfortable around the waist than the Lollipop ones. I've had one leak in the Lollipop one and this was because it was left on a bit longer than I normally would leave it. It doesn't seem as bad around the waist as the Tots Bots, but still doesn't look as comfy as the Fuzzy Bunz. But I DO prefer velcro. Maybe I'm just a bit lazy or just so used to using disposables?!

Anyway, I just wondered what other peoples opinions were on them? I'd hate to go and buy a load of them and then find out they're not much good for me...! My main concern is them leaking and obviously comfort. Not too fussed about the bulkiness of the nappy as I think babies look cute with a big nappy bum anyway...!

Also, if there are any other nappies you'd recommend instead?

Thanks in advance

Frances

Hiya,

I'f i had to choose between the two I'd go for the FB hands down every time!

Lots of people don't get on with the Pop N Gro's ... I'm sure a few of them will be along to tell you! I do have one but its at the bottom of my nappy basket and usually leaks every time I use it.

The Fuzzi's are great though, I love the one size ones and have some nice bright funky colours. Yes they are poppers but on the up side... poppers don't frey /look grubby or loose their stickiness and the baby will find it harder to undo the poppers than Velcro!

But that's just my opinion! lol Good luck in your decision.

Hi, I'm a Pop'n'Go fan. I sell both FB and Pop'n'Gro, but can honestly say that I haven't sold a FB for ages whereas I am selling absolutely loads of pop'n'gros. I have only had one customer back with leaks, but I got her sorted with the bamboo boosters. They do take alot of washing to get to full absorbency. But they stay soft and I love the flexibility / versatility of having the 2 different boosters thatyou can put where you want them. They do come up larger than the FB, so that might be a consideration if you want to guarentee having a nappy that fits all the way til potty training. The main disadvantage with pop'n'gro is that they are bukier than Fb, but you've jsut said that bulk doesn't matter so that might not be a consideration for you. (Plus they have better environmental credentials!!)

I'm a fuzzi fan I have used them for years and find them very reliable.

Another Fuzzi fan here... love the super soft fleece on the inside, and never have leaks with them either. DS2 seems to power wee his way through the pop n gro, for some reason...
I used to prefer velcro too, but now poppers are godsend, or DS (18months) rips open ... can be very very dangerous (already had one poo lobbed around the bedroom incident!) lol

Another fuzzi fan here - not so much a fan of the fuzzi onesizes though - i sell lots of fuzzibunz perfect fit so they are still a popular choice. I havent tried pop n gro to have an opinion. Have you tried bumgenius pockets? I only mention them because if you dont mind pink they are on buy one get one free on 10 or more till Sunday. I tended overall to go for velcro ones as my ds goes to nursery and they prefer them hence my main stash was bg and greenkids. Good luck

fuzzi fan here, thought pop n gro was just far too bulky. Cannot see it working on a newborn at all. If you prefer the pocket but with velcro would definitely say bumgenius. As somone said they are on bogof on zinnia only in a few places so bargain!

Velcro may be easier with a smaller baby, but once your baby discovers how velcro undoes (age about 1), and if they like the sound of ripping it off then you can forget peace and tranquility and clean bedding first thing in the morning when they wake in their cot and start fiddling!

I've got a fuzzi bunz (though i'm not keen on the new daisy print lol, have a white one) and I've not had any probs with it..there are much more absorbent nappies out there though, but it's a good all-rounder x

I hate pop n grows and have always had leaks. Don't have much opinions on FB but have only ever heard good things.

My 2 cloth bums are 10 months and 2 years and neither of them have ever undone their applix nappies. Have had popper ones pop open though where they were too tight! My DDs have big tummies though
