Just found out I'm expecting DC3 at the beginning of October. DS will be 4 and DD will be 2 both in September so DS won't be starting school until Sept 2011 though he will be going to the local nursery. DD has a place at a preschool two mornings a week from September.

Having thought this was a brilliant idea 3 weeks ago, I'm now less certain.(why haven't MNHQ come up with a 'full or hormones' emoticon) Will some lovely people come along and tell me how great it will be? No horror stories please, it's done now!

Hi Massive. My age gaps are even less! DS1 was born when DD1 was 2 years 10 months and DD2 was 1 year 5 months. Then DS2 was born two years later.
Currently DD1 is in Y1 at school, DD2 is at preschool 5 half days, DS1 is coming up to 3 and DS2 is 9 months.
It's great!! Having the routine of dropping them off at nursery/ preschool (although it's hard getting out at times) makes life easier, and it's not like school where you have to get them there exactly on time.
The thought of it seems harder than it will actually be. Just get a good routine established and you really will be fine.
Does your DP have much paternity leave? If he has two weeks my advice would be to use the first week to rest then do everything yourself the 2nd week (with him along to help!) then when he goes back to work in the 3rd week you'll know you can manage.
Plus in a few years time think of the lovely school holidays you'll have with them all playing together being so close in age.

Life without three preschoolers must be very dull imo

3 pre-schoolers is just fine, don't you worry! Yes it's busy, but nothing you can't handle. plus you get to look like superwoman when people say, wow, 3 under 4 that's amazing!

I have had 3 preschoolers for over a year. It's hard wor but doable. I will hav 4 preschoolers any day now so it can't be that bad!

DS1 is now 3.9, DD is 2.5 and DS2 is 13 months. DS3 is due anytime.

I have days when it feels very overwhelming but the hardest time is being heavily pregnant with little ones. Once the baby comes it will get easier.
