Can anyone explain theosophy to me?

I need to give a short presentation on Steiner including a section on theosophy.

I've done plenty of reading about theosophy but I'm just getting more and more confused.

Can anyone explain it to me please?

I thought Steiner developed anthroposophy?

all bonkers imho, but that's probably not enough for a presentation!
