I started giving mine water at 6 months whilst beginning weaning. Have never bothered with juice and now they both drink lots of water throughout the day with no complaints!!

Thank you mamasunshine

DD3 is 18wks and not yet weaning so i'll hold off for a bit until then

DD2 is 3 n a half and i'd completely forgotten when i'd started with her but i do remember giving her, DD1 and DS juice every now and again.

just a question.. are you breastfeeding?
my 2 angels were hungry babies and i gave them cooled boiled water if thirsty as they started bein weaned on basic food at 4mths.. if constipated for any reason i gave them diluted orange juice n this seemed to work. but i agree i gave my 2 water alot now they love their water
my DS even asks for water in a shop instead of juice or coke

DD3 is bottle fed and seems very happy with 6ozs 5 sometimes 6 times a day and isnt showing any signs of wanting weaning yet

My other 3 drink a lot of water but always ask for something else while out as i dont let them have it at home but more often than not they ask for fizzy flavoured water instead of coke or fruit shoots.

Aww i'm about to have mt 3rd DC
if shes happy then i wouldnt worry. i'm sure you know what your doing with 3 DC

my 2 were eating lots of things by then. my DD loved mashed avocado and banana lol
only a few lil spoons at first. each baby is different
have you read any baby reciepe books to see what she could have??
but if she is content then dont worry leave it a lil longer before starting

good luck

DS was weaned at 4months, DD1 and DD2 were about 5 n a half as when i tried them at 4 months they wasn't interested, i think DD3 probably would take it if i tried it now but as she's happy with her milk and is sleeping really well now i dont see the point in trying her early.

All of mine started with baby porridge and mashed bananas and they still love their bananas mashed up now
DD2 takes after me and likes her banana mashed and in bread and butter, nothing like a banana sandwich to start your day

I would between 4 and 6mths..it does also depend on wether weaning has started and so as not to give to much milk that leaves no room for food. Also if a summer period then you would probably be adviced to give extra fluid if it a particulary hot day. I would try and stick to water if they will drink it..and if giving juice try to use a cup rather than a bottle..much kinder to there teeth.
