Childcare grant

Having a complete nightmare with studentfinance England. Even though I have been awarded a means tested loan and I have found out only today that I don't qualify for the parents learning allowance as our income is too high. The system is down so they couldn't tell me about the Childcare grant application. Does anyone know how much the income threshold is to qualify for this grant? It has taken so long to sort out and we have massive debts waiting for this money to come and now I am terrified it is not coming .
Thanks in advance.

Hi Clemette. There is no details anywhere. I have been trying to plan my study for sept 2010. If you find the thresholds can you let me know please?

I spoke to them today. There is a threshold for Parents Learning Allowance (about £16000 they said) but not for Childcare Grant. The man gave me a lot of flannel but still don't know if we are getting it.
Will keep you posted.

Thank you. I find it appalling that there is not more clear information about the childcare grant calculations.
