Part of an essay - done a quick google search and this appears to be it.

so well done MN but are there any others? they all seem to be for parents of children with LD not parents with LD.

Having the same problem finding support for parents with an autism spectrum condition - I'm talking with the NAS soon about this, I hope.

Contact the Disabled Parent's Network. The helpline is: 0300 3300 639

Their web site is:
www.disabledparentsnetwork.org.uk/cgi-bin/site/site.cgi

Wish I could give you more guidance, regrettably my expertise is physical disability / chronic illness.

I know of some parents groups but not sure where you are.
I am attending Elfrida Radbone Centre London Camden - on Fridays for parents to chat and have tea - lovely

I am settling up group in West Hampstead (London) because there are not that many well organise groups in the area and i am already running Autismfor-us.org

Contact Family has a very useful information on parents groups all over UK and also good booklet on how to set up group yourself
