My 5 nearly 6yr old daughter has lost 6 baby teeth from the front of her mouth within weeks/days of each other, she's all gums!

Is this normal? Her front 2 teeth have been gone for what seems like ages with no sign of adult teeth coming through.

I have no idea about teeth but i'm a bit worried she's going to end up going for months and months with no teeth!

I took my Ds to have his teeth checked when his tooth was wobbling Oct 5 year old. Dentist said there was nothing wrong very good strong clean teeth, he has just developed early. I would have her teeth checked anyway.

I wouldn't worry too much. They do take ages to come through some times and there isn't much you can do about it. My DS1 had a gap at the top with one of the teeth to the side of his front teeth and it took over a year to come through. Mostly they come through much quicker than that.

6 teeth is pretty average for a child of that age to lose, although most seem to stagger them a bit. My DS2 is 6.4yrs and has only lost 4 (all at the bottom). Other children, the same age or younger than him, have lost as many, if not more.

There would be no harm in taking her to the dentist if you are really worried to get an x-ray done to find out where the new ones are.

My third child did this aged about 7. She ended up losing most of her incisors in the space of a couple of months, and was gummy and unable to eat anything crunchy for about 3-4 months. Don't worry, they will grow back!
