ds wont stop crying/ it feels like he hasnt stopped crying for 7 months. i feel no compassion just irritation i need to go in there and pick him up and cuddle him. but i really do not want to. he will need to be rocked for so long and then when i leave room he will cry again. ffs.

right deep breath. someone come talk to me.

you poor thing. you are a very generous mother, it is a choice to go to him, and you are loving enough to put your needs second - yet again

swotty - will he take a dummy?
I know they are not for everyone, but you sound at the end of your tether.
Or could anyone else soothe him for a while?

Are you umable to leave him to cry for a while at all? Not that I think you should, but I heve left ds for a while in the past when I couldn't stand it if I knew he was safe. Again, not ideal, but at the end of my tether.

awww, has he always been very cry-y?
my second was like that and it's incredibly draining.

do you have a good sling you can use? mine was my lifesaver when ds2 was at his worst!

ty all. he has a dummy and has been in sling from day one. that is why my back is done in, but it does stop him crying. now he older more alert and this attachment thing more clearly pronounced. so dif to dd! i am having trouble bonding tbh. 7months i thought it would be dif by now. i feel so bad to write but its true. dh too . think it will get better tho.

he has turned his face away from me. i shall risk leaving room.
